Jelly Shots on Parade . . .

Last weekend, it was Jelly Shots all around! We attended our fantastic girl-tastic book club on Saturday afternoon, and later a summer kick-off bash on Saturday evening hosted by friends M and S (also members of the original core group of JSTK testers!).  For book club, we prepared tiny Jelly Shot squares for sampling, as we are all responsible adults with weekend agendas . . .  For the party, however, I took things a few steps further.  Photos follow - you must forgive the low tech, non JSTK Annie quality photos, as I was flying solo with only my Blackberry camera!

Long Island Iced Tea Jelly Shots, skewered and sassy with a lemon peel

French Lemonade Jelly Shots (why yes that IS a Chambord layer - YUM!)

Fan favorite, Vodka Pink Lemonade Jelly Shot rides again!

French Lemonade Jelly Shot was created for Edina Magazine - the recipe, along with two other brand new Jelly Shot creations, will be included in the July 2010 issue.  French Lemonade is a very light-tasting jelly shot, with a lemonade base, a little vodka, and of course - Chambord.  It's perfect for breezy spring afternoons.  We made a very thin jelly shot, about 1/2 inch, and for serving skewered two petit squares slightly akimbo on a fancy toothpick with half a raspberry.

The recipes for Long Island Iced Tea Jelly Shot (first choice of the men at the gathering - Manly!  Harumph and much beating of chests!) and the universally beloved Vodka Pink Lemonade Jelly Shot, will be included in our upcoming recipe book, which will be published by Running Press and available in bookstores in Spring 2011.

Hope you are all enjoying warm weather and sunshine!

Cheers, Michelle (JSTK Julia)
